The origin of the small community of Coorgs (Kodavas) in the South West corner of Karnataka has been the subject of much speculation in the absence of recorded history prior to about 1600 AD. By tracing the anthropological and sociological links, and by considering them together with related historical events, Lt. Col. Ponnappa adopts a scientific methodology to trace the origins of Coorgs. In the process, he takes the reader back through some of the most eventful and fascinating periods of Man's past.
